More Paris

                              PARISIAN QUIRKS

MODES OF DELIVERY

PLEASE LET ME IN I'M A MERCEDES

THEIR OPTIMISTIC PARKING METHODS

The patiently waiting dogs outside many shops

I am being so good aren't I?  and is he coming out again soon?

the crepe man whose shop is almost a cupboard in the wall and who skillfully cooks your crepe to order.  Mint tea goes really well.

The huge Nespresso shop, yes the one with George Clooney in the ad, where they serve this wonderful coffee while you watch people sit down at a little booth to choose just which machine they are going to buy, then walk out with them in the nifty little bags.

Ceilings in Boulangerie that look as though they belong in a museum and are above walls that are painted a bright pink. (apparently they were blue some months back)

amazing old stone buildings that often house educational facilities or libraries

art in unexpected places

buildings covered in creepers that are showing autumn colours

sprinklers that I'm SURE had french attitude

brasserie in a quiet residential area

harpsichordist on the steps of Sacre Couer

hawkers pedalling their wares

beautifully lit carousel

velib bike system that you buy a monthly ticket for, pick up and drop off at any station

unexpected street stall

all this and more makes up today's Paris

au revoir

Jo
