Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the markets we go.....
But first we have to get there,
down into the depths of the metro
all with our trusty trolley which we have thanks to the people who own the apartment we are renting
and then we arrive just in time for the drizzle of rain to increase.
First we go down one side, then back up the other just to make sure we are getting a bargain,
we ponder the terrines but decide to save them for a few days later just to be sure they are really fresh,
we avoid these fellows,
make a celebrity of the butcher to be sure we get the best cut,
think that perhaps this pumpkin is a little large for the three of us
all the while being seduced by the divine array of flowers,
when wondering aloud how one chose, it was suggested that you get them all!
It was always going to be these old fashioned pale pink ones though
So I got to carry the important purchase home and they look really good in our apartment.
We also bought some great fruit, vegetables and meat to go with our roses for Christmas,
Au revoir
Jo
