The Christmas markets in Salzburg are well known and well patronised by both tourists and locals alike.
There are many stands offering Gluhwein, the hot spiced wine so popular over here, that helps keep out the cold.
The guide on the bus tour I took today was mourning the lack of snow as he says it is much better to enjoy gluhwein when you are very cold!!
And even the Lions Club are in Salzburg and get in on the act!
